SmashZone at the US Open
I had the opportunity yesterday to check out SmashZone at Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day at the US Open. [Full Disclosure - this sponsorship activation platform is run by Synergy Events]. This is a photo from one of the interactives courtesy of Olympus. I took a little artistic license to add the trophy and some text.
Here is the background on SmashZone:
SmashZone, the premier fan interactive attraction in tennis, is making its return at the 2009 US Open after a three-year hiatus.
Located in the Indoor Tennis Facility, this 20,000-square-foot interactive experience for attendees of all ages will be open throughout the tournament.
SmashZone will feature the QuickStart Tennis play format (tennis scaled to size for kids) on two courts as well as on “Center Court,” where there will be revolving programming each day- including special guest appearances and games, contests and exhibitions.
SmashZone will also consist of numerous interactive games and activities. Test your strength in the Fast Serve Cage. Try for the top score on the state-of-the-art electronic backboard. Play video games that get you swinging a tennis racquet.
